Crisis In America
By: Ric Wells
Make no mistake America is in crisis. The crisis is not the fact we are under attack. This nation had been under attack since July 4, 1776. We as a people have been under attack even before then. So as tragic as it is the Massacre in Orlando is not the realization why we are under attack. What is at the core of this crisis is the underhanded politics and policies that have been forced upon the American by the far right and far left factions of this nation. One side wants the elimination of the rights this nation is based upon since our inception. This is under the guise that we need protection from ourselves. The other side wants to isolate this nation from the rest of the world. Not the smartest thing to do when a worldwide organization’s number one goal is to destroy this nation and the people in it. To isolate oneself from an economic and financial standpoint when this world lives and thrives under a global economy if akin to committing suicide. So let’s build that wall to keep out hard working family oriented people. And let,s ban entire populations from entering this nation which certainly coincides with one of the basic principles of our grand experiment. If we close our borders because of emotional propaganda set forth by a media whose main concern is to heighten the panic level in the citizenry, in order to garner a larger rating share and hence more 30 pieces of silver to line their pockets, then we might as well call and end to this nation . We would have failed what we set out to do.
The immediate problem we face are the puppets that are running for an office that is still the most powerful on the globe. The one has failure after failure on her resume on every level of governmental and private industry position she has held. On the other hand the other one’s agenda seems to be to denigrate every faction that does not look or act like him. Hardly not the concept of the melting pot that made us one of the most progressive nations in the world. The media in this debacle is spoon feeding the electorate all of this propaganda and watching this nation swirl down the proverbial toilet. What do they care they’ve got theirs. Riots and violence are incited to keep the people from being informed about the core issues.
We have a president who seems to refuse to believe we are at war. But the calls for impeachment are fruitless. Even if proceedings were brought forth. By the time they were resolved this president’s term would be up. Or we would have an unqualified president-elect waiting in the wings to further this debacle. In the meantime, the economic, financial and spiritual stature of this nation would plummet send disastrous ripples throughout the world. Calls for this president’s resignation because he did not say something or a word or phrase do nothing but act as another in a long line of decoys to keep the focus off of our major problems.
As heartbreaking and sad the massacre in Orlando is it is only another in the series of incidents that highlight why America is in crisis. We are in crisis because we have strayed from our intentions. We have butchered our founding documents. This has been an ongoing process even during colonization and has continued to this day. What has happened now is due to increased technology and communication we are exposed to more and more of the lies and deceit those in power have been able to bury in the past. America is in crisis because the crisis is America as it has evolved into today.
